Afterschool Support Worker
Sechelt Community Schools
is seeking a support worker for their afterschool care programs at the Sechelt Learning Centre and Cedar Grove school. This casual and part time non-union position is 2.5 hours per day Monday to Friday, from 2:15pm to 4:45pm plus early dismissal days, and some extended Pro D days. Hours may be increased based on student's schedule, at a wage of $16 per hour.
This position is ideal for those with some SETA/EA training and/or previous childcare or teaching experience, who no longer have school age children at home, and enjoy that connection to children's enthusiasm and fun.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with school age children with physical or behavioural special needs - A minimum of 20 hours of courses or training related to school aged children - Ability to work well with others in a team setting - Clear references, and schedule "E" Criminal record check required
